Driving to Chicago...

After 6 hours of driving we were 50 miles east of Denver. Rooster's was just about teh only choice at this exit, a town of 500. It was Tuesday. Guess what I got?

p.s. I did ask about how many people brought their horses into the restaurant. The answer was a qualified zero -- the waitress said that the sign helped keep any problems away.

I drove and the rest of the crew gambled in the back. Miuchela even put on her sunglasses so that people couldn't read her eyes.

Eli drew a full house, aces and kings, and cleaned up.

A stop in Des Moines led us to the Prosciutto king of North America, none other than Herb Eckhouse, a very distant cousin (we share great-grandfathers). The product (La Quercia Prosciutto) is fantastic! Get it at any Whole Foods or online: http://www.laquercia.us/

Looks like you are having a great time! We use to travel quite a bit when we were kids. My son likes the travel bug. Your pictures of Grand Canyon were amazing.

Be safe and god bless you and your family.
